Social Studies ~ Semester 1 September 2019
Throughout the month of October we will be investigating maps and learning mapping skills. We will also be reflecting on; R(Respect)O(organized)A Attitude)R(responsibility)S(Safety) each day and giving 'shout-outs' to those students who have displayed commendable behaviour in each area. In November the students will have the opportunity to learn about the purpose and importance of First Peoples legends and storytelling. We will welcome a guest presenter from the Aboriginal Friendship Society. She will share some traditional Shuswap legends and teach us drumming. We will also have the opportunity to create and share our own 'legend' with our peers. In December wee will learn about Christmas traditions around the world.
